‘Blackhole’ has been selected by the masses as the track to remix.

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

• Request a download link for the stems be emailed to you via the stems form on this page here.

• Use the form at the bottom of this page here to submit your remix via a private SoundCloud link before 23:59 on January 31st 2025.

Remixes MUST be uploaded onto SoundCloud as 44100 Hz, 16 Bit Wavs and set as Private and downloadable (info here) – remixes that are shared anywhere publicly before the contest is finished and winners announced by Barcode will be voided.

1st Prize

• Your Blackhole remix will feature on the Donny & Katharsys – Snare Shower Remixed LP (released on all digital platforms - forthcoming 2025).

FAQ

• Can my remix be any genre / BPM? Yep! Although you’re more likely to win a prize if you make a filthy DNB / Crossbreed remix as that’s what Donny & Katharsys love.

• Do I need to use all the stems? That’s entirely up to you, you can use as many or as few as you’d like - although the end result should be recognisable as a remix of Blackhole. Do whatever you think sounds good!

• Should the file I upload to SoundCloud be mastered? Do whatever you think sounds best.

• Can I submit more than one remix? Yep! Submit as many remixes as you’d like.

• What if I don’t submit my remix in time? Sorry, only remixes submitted before 23:59 on January 31st 2025 will be valid.

• Will I be able to share my remix publicly? Once the competition is over and winners are announced, runners up can share their remixes however they’d like. The winning remixes will be shared by Barcode.

• Who will be selecting the winners? Donny & Katharsys.

• What if I don’t have a SoundCloud account? No problem! You can sign up for free (info here)

• What format should my remix be submitted as? 44100 Hz, 16 Bit Wav set as Private and downloadable (info here).

• Listening to the stems all together doesn’t sound identical to the mix of the original? The stems have been exported with side-chaining disabled, so you can mix them however works best for you.
